    Default Research Survey for USC

    Hey everyone,

A couple of professors at the Keck School of Medicine Global Center for Exercise, Psychiatry and Sports at USC are conducting research about noise and how it affects the brain, and they are looking for input from racers. If you'd be interested in helping them out, there's a link below to a survey, the instrument they're using to gather data. It takes less than 2 minutes. Participation is anonymous.

    Hello Racers,

NASA is helping conduct a research study that needs RACER feedback so I hoped you could review the letter below and participate.

    Hi Ryan,

I'll be presenting our research program at a departmental conference this month and wanted to make one last push for data.

I was hoping you could send an email out to the people signed up to race this weekend including the endurance racers/teams with a link to our group's facebook page and a link to the survey online. The survey is totally anonymous and takes less than 5 minutes. Participants will not be asked for any contact information.

    Thanks for your help!

If they want to know the effects of noise from racing they need look no further than our longest track day driver at TrackHQ. I submit The Sheriff.

Here he is disguised at work:

Here is The Sheriff teaching nubee "This is the only signal you need to communicate with corner workers."

Here is The Sheriff getting amorous during the start of mating season in the central valley:

And sometimes he wins the trophy and The Girl:

Yikes. The Sheriff definitely does not suffer from hover hand. Did you get your money's worth?

'hover hand" Check out how the girl has her arm between Richard and herself trying desperately to create some distance.

    Terrible terrible survey.

How could I possibly comment on the impact of micro concussions if I don't know WTF one is or if I've had one? Needs an N/A option.

^^ Yeah, I thought that too. N/A or don't know would have been good additions.

    Oli -

Since we are sharing old track day pics here, this is my favorite:

    Olitho and bawareca like this.
The deposed former Sheriff of trackHQ . . .

    2006 Porsche 997 Carerra Coupe 6-MT - daily driver
1992 Honda (Acura) NSX 5-MT - classic investment I couldn't resist and occasionally drive
    2004 Honda S2000 AP2 6-MT - track day car
2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR 6-MT - when I need a backseat, 4-doors, or a real trunk, and still want to haul ass . . .
