Default Red Bull F1 Car on Sale

Would love to take this to my local car show

    from the article:
An individual in Britain has just listed his car for sale. He is asking £250,000 for it, which sounds a bit steep, considering the car in question is second hand, has only one seat, and no boot… Until you realize it is actually a genuine and fully functioning 2007 Red Bull F1 car!

Depending on how many laps you're trying to fit in the 2 minutes.

I'm shocked that it's for sale at such a low price, even more shocking that Red Bull allowed to be sold.
If nothing happens and there is no one around why did it not happen?

Cool that it looks to be in a 'average' guys garage. Love the low tech steel floor jack next to the car in one of the pictures. Don't tell me that they use that to jack up the car?

New engines + New aero rules = previous F1 car secrets are now worthless.

That's my take on it, anyway.

Converted today that's basically $400k. If a dozen of us kick in about $35k, we can just about get it to California. Webber's car so I'll actually fit in it, sorta. We'll have to figure out how to start it, with all the pre-heaters and stuff. Might do well in UTCC.

Aside from their cost I never understood why people race them.

Why hasn't some rich car nut trolled amateur events with a car like this? I so would do it if a mountain of money fell on my head. I'd autocross it, Cars N Coffee, get tags for it and hardpark the local car meet, HPDE (Champion!), NASA STU, SCCA whatever class it fits into, UTCC. Rent it out to charities for 1$ to display for special events. But most importantly, I would put a TrackHq sticker on it.

The best spot of that video is at 1:30 where the F1 car driver waves in frustration at being held up by a race prepped E30 M3. Personally, my "is-anybody-coming-up-fast-o-meter" stops at about 70mph closing speed. Get up over 100mph closing and my mirrors aren't big enough. IOW, what kind of idiot drives an F1 car at full speed during an HPDE then has the audacity to give hand gestures to the street cars he passing at 170mph? The answer: rich idiots
