Thread: Real? Spec Miata dyno curves for top prep cars

    My guess is the class is several years beyond that point. I don't think anyone runs a basic 1.6 anymore. They're so far outgunned it's not even funny. But the ones that do run a 1.6 make the most of them.

    Have you seen any before/after dynos? Curious to see how a basic 1.6 stacks up.

    This thread makes me very sad. My tired NA with a 210k mile stock but unrestricted throttle body 1.8 can't even make 100whp anymore

    I'm parting out a 95 with 80,000 miles on it. Got the whole drive line ready to go into your car.

    I was there that weekend and ran in HPDE. At the end of the day, I had my '95 Spec Miata dynoed at 114-115 whp (MCE Racing dynojet). The next week, I took my car to Sevens Only (also a dynojet) and my car dynoed at 112-113 whp. So, about a 2 whp delta between the two dynos.

    Ironically, the top two SMs from the Sunday NASA race at ACS are now for sale.
