Default Prius owners, come out of the closet and talk about suspension upgrades

Since we have some Prius owners around here I figured it's worth asking.
The shocks on the wifemobil are getting tired and this might be a good time to something better if there are good options.
Not looking for anything fancy like the TRD coilovers, just a mild improvement.
It's a 2005 with the base suspension, I think I'll give the touring suspension rear sway bar a try while at it.

    TIA!

We should kill this thread with fire.

That being said people put coilovers on their Prius? And not as a joke?

Wife's daily driver (I would've typed DD but this thread would've derailed faster than Atlanta drivers on snow), some THQers like William and Emilio had them, so yeah, feel free to get over it..

Why change the shocks? Just put an "OBAMA" sticker on the back window and everyone will understand why you are driving in the "fast lane" so slowly and the old shocks will then work just fine.

Well, if were going down this rode....

I need new shocks on my Toyota minivan, looking to increase stability during turn in without giving up to much ability of putting down power on exit... What do you guys recommend? bigger swaybars?

on a serious note, How do you not get the cheapest possible shock for a Prius (or a minivan)...

Bahahaha no I asked that because I couldn't figure out who or what market the CR-Z is catered to. 2 seater, slow, hybrid? I didn't get it.

    I am disappointed.
8 replies and all we have are a few half hearted attempts at wise cracks and that's it?
C'mon THQers, this is the home of bad puns!
I'm sure you can do better than that.

Jokes aside, the Prius is a damn good car.
Brilliant packaging and bullet proof reliability, excellent gas mileage and so many other good things about it.
Of course, driving what have become the poster child of eco hating, you have to endure every bad joke from every dumbass that thinks he's the new Clarkson.. I don't care, 16 years of Miata ownership help you develop a skin that Elephants can only be envious of, it's like being a Jedi knight of brushing off car related jokes.
Yes, you got that, 16 years of Miata ownership and you too can become the Obi-wan Kenobi of not giving a s**t.

So, any shocks recommendations for a Prius?

Sorry Moti, don't have any shock info but does anyone have a Prius V? I'll need to replace my Outback in the next year or two and since Mazda won't give us a 6 wagon, I don't know what I want. The Prius V looks like a decent option.

Yeah, one of our relatives has a V and it's not as good in terms of gas mileage.
The interior of the Prius in general is not its strongest suit, and along with the cost saver suspension those are my two biggest complaints about the car.
We have been looking at replacing the Prius in the future with a Lexus CT200 which is basically a Prius with a really nice interior and double wishbone suspension, exactly what the car needs. They seem to hold their value like Gold too.
If you never been in one, you'll be surprised by the amount of interior volume. The back seat in the regular Prius has more room than the outback

I hate those phucker Prius taxi cabs. It used to be when you sat in the back of a Taxi, it was like a Crown Vic. Now you are only in there to save the driver and his employer on gas. Phuck that . . .

I have a question; why do Prius drivers drive so fast, do they have something to prove?
If nothing happens and there is no one around why did it not happen?
