I am glad you brought up LS. Actually, one of my best experiences was in Monterey Bay. My wife went shopping while I attended the 2-day track. There decent restaurants along the wharf.

I posted earlier about Black Bear Diner for ThunderHill.

BW: Titas Pupuseria or Willow Ranch (here's the thread I started earlier...http://www.trackhq.com/forums/f2/willow-ranch-going-downhill-2633/#post38443)

Cal Speed: Farmer's Boy across the 10 freeway on Cherry. I think the burgers are decent. Then there are some restaurants in Ontario Mills. I am against Market Place Grill there though. Horrible food. I believe Benihana around there and also Mel's Drive In.

PS: Ed, since you're the OP, do you think you can congregate the restaurants based on track venues back in your first post? Thanks!

So you have to bring your own water to SV events now? That sucks. I guess the "stay hydrated for safety" speech at the driver's meeting will be dropped too.

Aaron claims that he lowered prices (or didn't raise them) when he dropped free lunch.

Go to an OTR event. Free all you can eat lunch and t-shirt included.

I have to agree that about OTR. Does Kailo even make any $$ out of these events? OTR is still very grassroot like. SV used to be like that but some time in 2007/8, something changed.

When Kailo loses money on an event, he eats it. He really just hopes to break even and does it for fun. If he makes money, he donates it to charity.

I saw this at Buttonwillow. It works fine. As long as water is available its really no big deal.
