    Default Physical conditioning for racers

FYI, I found this site via Twitter, but it seems to have some decent information on fitness regimens for racing drivers.

    RacerPhys

I only recently started "boot camp" with a trainer and I could notice a difference in fatigue levels at the race this past weekend. Lower lap times might also result from this kind of training.

After two hours of seat time in my FM at WSIR, I was beat to a pulp. Much harder work than tracking a modified street car. I'm on a program to lose weight, but it's probably not enough.

As much as a cold beer looks good, it's counter-productive.

    1. One of the most overlooked exercises are "push aways." They should be performed at meal time, prior to totally stuffing the tank.

    Just like Schumi.

Hmm . . . . Unless the fist photo is a new gen "aero road bike", it looks like a time trial bike with roadie bars. Which only confirms that Emillo is creative across the board. But does he shave his legs?

-Hey! How 'bout once a year all cyclists bring their bikes for a (last place pays first place $20.00) post-last-session race around the track - say 5 laps or so? Emilio could use some spare change.

The Sea Otter Classic uses Laguna Seca for various stages of the road races. The race or bicycle festival is held mostly on the grounds of MRLS at least it used to be.
