    Default Optimum Laps

    Interesting tool:

    OptimumLap - OptimumG

Pretty useful for comparing gear ratios and the effect on lap times. I haven't gone deeper than that. It is difficult to define all the required variables for a particular car though. WSIR appears to be the only Socal track defined thus far.

Simulation software is pretty common in the upper echelons of racing. How much does is cost? I'm curious to hear other's experience on this software. I imagine it would help you make better decisions on where to invest in development and how to set up the car for different tracks and what parameters net the fastest pace.

Great idea for guys that are nearly fully exploiting their car's potential.

Perhaps, not so great for cars without such driver.
