On the stupid scale its only like a 5 maybe. Some water barriers might help some.

Even if they only do one car at a time, it could still be fun to try.

I just watched videos for the TJ GP, so my stupid standards may be a hair off right now..

I would support it if it was ran like an autocross, one car at a time. They can do a single lap, two laps, three laps at a time, but only one car. I think it would be a hoot. It is the driver's responsibility to make sure the car is safe. Many organizations don't do any tech inspection. My autocross inspections are very basic, mostly to make sure the flag workers are somewhat safe.

Don't worry about it Ed. It's Darwinism in practice. It will weed a few stupid Evo drivers out by natural selection.

I could maybe see one car at a time, or maybe two with enough offset that they will never be close to each other (like most auto-x's), but this sounds pretty damn dangerous. Heck, I bet they will allow photographers to stand in the middle of the track with only the knee high karting barriers protecting them. Even if they offset the cars properly or run one at a time, this doesn't seem like a community experienced with auto-x and the respect which is required for even these seemingly slow speeds.

I agree Richard, natural selection at its best. I of course hope nothing happens though.

hahaha is this a joke, cars at adams kart track?? That track is small by karting standard, and now they want to put 3 full size cars on it???

One more reason I don't kart at adam's anymore, the track owners have no idea what they are doing....

Hopefully this event only results in donor cars and not donor drivers!

But I agree that most folks underestimate the kinetic energy of a full sized car v. a cart.

I've never been to Adam's. sure it is no wider than most auto-x course ?

I know they run drift events twice a week there. so it must be decently wide.

I would love to drive it, even if it is narrow. probably fun setting up a track car. my Miata is not street registered. it is almost impossible to do a shakedown. it would be nice for a few of us to rent the track for a night, and do an auto-x, Trackhq style !!

of course safety is important. one car at a time is definitely doable. not sure about 2 at a time w/o seeing it. of course I own a Miata. it is small, cheap, and low power.

I don't see the width as the issue, but rather, the small buildings and light standards right in the impact zones...I agree those probably don't kill you, but I'm not sure the results would buff right out...
