In the picture the damage doesn't look as bad... it looked much worse when it was getting towed right in front of me.

Poor BRZ driver, nobody cares that he might have totaled his car too... lol NSX is stealing the spotlight
    How can I do?

I feel pretty confident that NSX is totaled. And I own one.

HOOKEY! $50 bucks for a flat tow behind Billybob's pick-up truck? Are you kidding me? Get a real tow truck.

Would you rather pay $50 upfront in entry fees for everyone. Or when you need a tow. $105 events (no tow) vs $165 events per person (includes tow). SO if you never needed to get towed, i think option A is best. But if you do need it, you just pay $50 extra. Why pay for something that you might not need every single track day. I'd imagine you want to keep it on black stuff and not want to get towed every session/day you go out to the track. Food for thought.

In the longer run, it is cheaper for everoyne with option A.

    A) 80 people a day, 3-4 tows a day, pay $105+ for everyone, a bit cheaper up front. If you need a tow $50.
    B) 80 people a day, 3-4 tows a day, pay $160+ for everyone, more up front.

Also remember XS includes coupon for lunch $3 off pretty much and FREE timing. Other organizations/clubs charge $15-20/day for timing.
If they plan to charge this fee then it better be announced and made clear before the event. If it's a hidden fee that only gets discovered when you go off then good luck trying to collect that. Knowing about it before hand and being charged are different.

Maybe we can call AAA. They may get there before extremespeed decides to tow you in anyway.

VTEC swapped cars are allowed in now? How is a F20 powered 86 or a K series swapped MR-S not incredibly at a huge advantage? lol

I am not sure they can. Even if they could it would only be allowed in unlimited.

We don't charge individual participants for their services, however, the costs are included in the entry fees.

I think XS is the only club that has this policy, although I think Luc from NCRC will charge you for a tow if you run out of gas on the track.
Good question, but I think you are dding additional facts to the situation. All we know is that XS charges for towing in situations where the driver of the car being towed is at fault. As far as I know, there is no precedent for what you described. I'd be interested in seeing how they handle it.

My guess is that the $50 charge acts as a deterrent to people driving over their heads?

Chump charges drivers who destroy the barrels because it means they have to go out and "get" more from CalTrans.

Bruce: I didn't "destroy" the barrel. I merely moved it a foot.

Though the $200 supposedly went to Red Cross

I really hope XS takes these incidents seriously and starts to monitor not only its beginner group, but also the higher run groups better. I want to see them run a safe ship.
