That's cool. Maybe a new era of low priced rear wheel drive cars are upon us.

Am I missing something? The article seems to indicate it is FWD with possible AWD. Shouldn't they list it as a Mini Cooper S, Ford Focus ST and Fiat Abarth fighter....

^^ I don't think you're missing a thing. As soon as I got to the part about it being front-wheel drive, I stopped reading.

That is a whole lotta nope there. They think they are in the same market while at the same time have completely missed it. No one who is considering the FRS/BRZ would be interested. Why not just have a Juke instead as it is the same thing anyways.

But the 'tards of my generation will eat it up because most have no idea that the Altima they are driving is FWD. If anything I see it as being a competitor to the mini hardtop the most.

The upside is that it isn't as ugly as a Juke. Unfortunately Manny's right, most buyers don't care which wheels drive the car.

yeah there is a swing and a miss.
The first pic looks cool. But the rest looks like a Juke. I did the same thing Brett did after I got to the point it said FWD.
That's not a Typo, I just can't spell no so well.

Of course they have some hot FWD rocket pockets ready from Renault,so why bother to develop a completely new car.Good ol tech from Renault, new ugly clothes from Nissan, and there goes the BRZ/FRS

I have been disillusioned with Nissan for years now. Once my favorite marque, that have failed me over and over. At one time I was going to work for the tech call in center. But the pay cut was about half of what I was making as a Tech at the dealer. Also because they were going to move out of California (where everything happens first).
I would ask them why are you doing this, about different things. Their answer to me was. “Because no one else is doing it”. This coming from a car company that broght you. The roadster, 510, 240Z, 200sx V6, NX2000, 240sx (Silva). the last of the 300Z TT, All the Skylines & the GTR. But then give us the Cube & the Juke.
There are a few cars in history that show, Americans will buy just about anything. The Pacer (why are the windows so big? So that everybody can see the fool that bought it) & The Juke (why…. Why… sniff sniff *tear drop*)
