    I think once more people actually buy and track the stock GTR we can get a idea of performance. For now I take everything Nissan says with a grains of salt.

    I commend Porsche for doing their own tests. They probably ran the perfomance numbers of the cars and figures the times didn't make sense so they bought their own Nissan to test.

    I would be interesting to see what Nissan has to say about the Porsche claim.

    Maybe they sold Porsche a defective car and want porsche to bring the car back into the dealer for service.
    Clement said the way he drove it was not up to pace, some traffic, cruising around, and not using the 4wd driving method. He said 1:56 will be possible in a cool day with no passenger! Dont quote me on everything, I will have him post up here to verify!

    actually it is 7 secs, GTR did a 1:56.9. let's call it 1:57.
    Clement also had a passenger, that's 1 sec.
    also don't forget that R&T tested GTR in winter, another 1-2 seconds there.
    too bad Clement should of gone for it, settle this once for all.

    not sure I understand that. you mean that GTR did 2 seconds faster than Manly at ACS, so that GTR should do 1:58 at BW13 ? at least that's what I think you meant.

    That can't be right. The difference in lap times at ACS should be greater than at BW13 because the sheer hp of the GTR would make it go much faster on the NASCAR Oval part of the course compared to the low hp Elise.

    Using factory reported bhp and curb weight figures to get weight to power ratio:

    GTR = 3800 lbs./480 bhp = 7.92 lbs./bhp

    Elise = 2000 lbs./190 bhp = 10.53 lbs./bhp

    how about the 3rd place Supra that ran 1'54.7 ACS also ran 2'00.7 BW13

    ACS could be a much easier track to learn so i can't say same nobody can do the same pace 1'58 at BW13

    our discusion was if stock GTR has potential to run 1'57 BW13, that kinda made it more believable, but no one here wants to buy one and find out?
