Sour grapes. The powers that be at Porsche in Germany are a bunch of fat old beer-guzzling, weinershnitzel eating trolls who just can't stand to lose.

"He says there was no tweaking of any kind and the GT2 and Turbo both ran on regular Porsche road tyres, the Michelin Sport Cup."

I love that regular road tyres.

I bet Porsche also tested Z06 and Viper ACR, didn't mention it, since they were both faster

And I find it shocking that the 997 Turbo weighs only "20 kilos" less than a GT-R. That's 44 lbs. So if a GT-R weighs a portly 3800 lbs., a 997 Turbo now weighs over 3750 lbs.? That's crazy. Porsche shouldn't be allowed to sell that big fat pig until they shave at least 300 lbs. off it.

Dumbasses...the Sport Cups are R-Comps! Or "a semi-slick race-style tyre" as they put it. That's actually a huge advantage over the GT-R's "street" RE070 tires...

    I still love Porsches...

"For us, it's not clear how this time is possible. What we can imagine with this Nissan is they used other tyres.

He believes the time achieved by Nissan with ex-Formula One driver Toshio Suzuki would only be possible with a semi-slick race-style tyres"

yeap, GTR cheated !!! Nissan must of been using the same Michelin Sport Cup tires !!!

you guys honestly believe that the GTR did a 1:56 at BW13... bone stock....?

Come on.. you know they are cheating with those numbers.

Porsche is simply pointing out that the Nissan numbers are not bone stock... I dont think porsche are loosing sales to Nissan eitherway.. porsche guys are porsche guys.. no matter what.

Now that the 280hp Japanese manufacturer limit appears to be gone, it is going to get interesting at the ring in the next few years I think....

    Go Mazda!!!

I agree overall, but not necessarily on the last part. A friend of mine who works in our office complex just bought a GTR instead of a 997 Turbo for example purely based on all the performance numbers he had read and seen.

Oli ran a 1:48s at Roval.

a nobody few weeks ago ran a 1:52.x in a GTR.

I think Roval benefit Corvette more so than a GTR.

can someone confirm the GTR at Roval. I thought it looked stock, but may be it isn't.

A nobody at Buttonwillow #13-CW ran 2:28 in a GT-R last Sunday with SV. What can you tell about that?
