Default nice track day 350Z on ebay

Nissan 350Z Rolex GT Race Car | eBay
Well, OK, quarter million dollar 350z.

Starting price was $10k. Reserve is gotta be north of $70K. I wonder how many kids are bidding and actually think they have a shot with a whopping $17k bid.

    Listen to that engine. Beauteous!

I saw this car at BW a few years ago. The attention to detail is amazing.

I have a cool picture of one of my 240-Z's nose to nose with it in the pits.

My guess is the reserve is North of $150K. They said they had $500K in it back then.

Cool, it looks like it won 1st place in Super Modified FWD class. I love those FWD converted 350s.

Let's say the reserve is $125k, who would buy it and why? Sure it's cheaper than building your own but what class would you race it in?

Knowing the cars obsolescence and lack of provenance, that's what a lot of guys are wondering. I'm guessing some rich, non-racer that just has a personal thing for Nissans will buy it as a toy. Drive it once at an HPDE and store it.
I'd like to see someone set it up for the 25 hrs, NASA ST2 or may run SCCA GT2. Such a pretty car. Saw it person a few years ago at BRP. The thing just reeked of money like the Fall Line R8 LMS we saw at SEMA this year.

I will be impressed if they can get someone to shell out more than 75k for this car.

01' Ferrari 360 Challenge for sale, estimated it will go for between 40-60k.

Great car, but as above, can't see why anyone would buy it for anywhere close to 6 figures. Better off buying a 996 or 997 Cup car as you approach those prices and being able to run it in 900 different classes.

Unless you are just a baller and want a 350Z for some reason.

I wonder if they would trade me one Nissan for another? Can there really be that much differance?

Say it goes for $125k (at a huge loss!).

That much money will buy you 15 mid-pack Spec Miatas! You could buy your own race group. Come to think of it, this is the most likely way I'd ever win a Spec Miata race.

Pffffft. We all know that Spec Miata is so last year.
You'd need to buy a fleet of SPM Miatas if you wanted to be current.

Or, better yet, invent your own sandbox to play in. That way you can be god of all the other Miata owning peons.

I mean. That's what I would do, if I was a cool kid and had a bunch of extra $$$ money lying around.

I'm with Mr. T, can't see this car going for more than $75k.

How much they spent and how much it sells for has no correlation.

They must be rolling out a 370Z.

Anyway, this is a great example of the law of diminishing returns. If true, $500,000 is pretty nutty. And for my (imaginary) money, so is $70,000, which could buy a faster 'Vette with a lot of "operating budget" left over.
