The Speed is not my daily driver for about a year now, I have an NA Impreza wagon for work.. And since the value dropped on my car and I've spent so much time learning the tech on the car... Shes it!! Til I can pay cash for a lotus anyways... It drives better than you'd think, I just have much to learn..

Anyone who has an S2K, NSX and Miata is good with me (and a '95 E36 M3 -- I had one of those for 8 years but never tracked it). Good taste in cars, except the Corvette . . . J/K
The deposed former Sheriff of trackHQ . . .

    2006 Porsche 997 Carerra Coupe 6-MT - daily driver
1992 Honda (Acura) NSX 5-MT - classic investment I couldn't resist and occasionally drive
2004 Honda S2000 AP2 6-MT - my last track day car (FOR SALE or not, depending on how I feel when I fall out of bed tomorrow morning)
2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR 6-MT - when I need a backseat, 4-doors, or a real trunk, and still want to haul ass . . .

The Miata and vette are my favorite on the track, might sound weird but as far as chassis feel the Miata and corvette seem to react very similarly.

I'm usually not much of a poster but I'm on vacation with my kids without my wife (she had to work), and basically ive got an enormous amount of free time while the kids are out and about. Glad to have this forum and others to keep me occupied.

    The car:
    '97 miata
    Krafterks Rotrex c30-74
    CX intercooler
    450 injectors
    MSPNP
    LC1

    205/50 star specs
    I'm sure there's more, but I'm drawing a blank.

You live in Palmdale and this is your first time at Willow? Buy a yearly pass for dirt cheap and hit up every test weekend you can Oh and get the heck off the computer and put a rollbar in your car if you haven't yet. You don't want this to happen without one: YouTube - Roll/Flip

What yearly pass? There is a charge for every open test day you run, and you have to buy an annual test card to be eligible to run them at all, but it's not a yearly pass.

+1 on the rollbar. Don't scrimp on safety equipment, the life you save may be your own. Did XS let you out on track without a rollbar?

lol Oh yeah roll bar. HDHCDDHT as well as Sprint V and Schroth 5pt. See I knew there were some things I forgot. I get up to Willow fairly often to hang out and watch, but this was my first time ever on a track. And more info on this yearly test pass if you please.

Or that. Shoot you're the resident WSIR expert, but I though there was some mention on here about being able to do the test days for cheaper than usual or something. I never looked into it because I don't have a track car at the moment, so maybe not.

re: Roll bar, ok that's good. P.S. I hate that acronym and have no clue what it means except that it's made by Hard Dog.. And I used to own one myself lol

^^^You buy an annual test card for $75. That is just a membership card that allows you the privilege of running any open test day at the WSIR big track for a daily fee. Test days are always on Fridays and there are usually 3 of them per month (the other Friday is for the Willow Springs Motorcycle Club). The daily testing fee is $75 per driver PLUS $75 per car, or a total of $150 per test day once you buy the annual test card.

Although I don't think I would want to live in the Palmdale area...has to be nice to live so close to a few race tracks :-) Welcome
