yeah it's t-hill in reverse turn 5/bypass.
i don't think i can make cal this time around. i'm trying to do superlap the week before.
Hi. I don't live in Socal anymore but an old FSAE teammate referred me here. I think he is on these boards.
OK, I'll bite. What's "FSAE"?
The deposed former Sheriff of trackHQ . . .
2006 Porsche 997 Carerra Coupe 6-MT - daily driver
1992 Honda (Acura) NSX 5-MT - classic investment I couldn't resist and occasionally drive
2004 Honda S2000 AP2 6-MT - track day car
2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR 6-MT - when I need a backseat, 4-doors, or a real trunk, and still want to haul ass . . .

Figured I should post here now that I've made my first post after a year and a half.
My name is Derek, I live in chino hills, and I have a 1995 miata with more parts than I have driving skill. I'd love to spend more time at the track, but work takes up alot of my free time, and I have made quite a bit less money this year due to our wonderful economy.
I got directed here by kenny, who schools me at every track day I go to.
Here's a couple pictures of me going slow at Horse Theif Mile:
They go through like 5 gears in 700 feet in the drags. Fast as heck. They weigh almost nothing and have motor cycle engines in them.
Richard, we are too old and plump to drive one of these babies.

MC on Dec. 20th. You should try to make it out.
Welcome Derek, I saw a post by you the other day and wondered if that was you.
Alex - Maybe, its at buttonwillow right? I wont be competitive since my car fits into mod class now, but maybe for the hell of it.
Eric - Long time no talk! Hope things are well, I'm planing to avenge myself at streets of willow on the 29th.
I've been reading posts here for a while... so I thought I'd register. I even know a few of you...
I think the real killer with these cars is that you can completely optimize the suspension, chassis, and be able to play around quite a bit with mass distribution (CG, RC, RCPL, etc etc etc..). Not a lot of compromises in these cars.. there isn't much "spec" about these cars.
I am 175lbs @ 5'9" and I can barely turn the steering wheel all the way. And thats with our top-secret small seat design....!! New rules makes cars a bit bigger, but I bet its still cramped.
A little plug for the boys if you don't mind.. this is from a couple of years ago. Maybe you can help them students build a better racing world

Building an LS1-powered Miata. Have been on track with different clubs few times in past couple of years. Done some drift events here and there. Not much to say
Here are some pictures from of me on track:
My name is John. I just bought a S2000 last week.
I have 1 track day and a few autocrosses with my previous Integra.
Friend of my mine from college is on this board... and I met several of you guys at the practice day for the Redline Time Attack in Fontana.
Hope to be tracking this thing and learning how to drive a rear wheel drive car real soon.
I've been around the track all my life and on track since '01. Live in CT.
Experience in Hondas and Corvettes but mainly a BMW guy now.
Favorite track is Limerock because of the speed though I was just at Road Atlanta and that place is awesome.
I'm excited for '10 as I'm not building anything, business or cars, and just working on me again.
I'll usually be in some sort of M3 at the track. My cars are a 2.8L 95 JP Rental, 98 IP car or E30 M3 track rat.
My site is: www.drivepure.com and I'm featured in the Nov 2009 Roundel.
Hope to make it out west meet you all some day soon.
Hey all, another newbie here.
My name is Brent and I too have been bitten by the track bug. I drive a 2009Nissan GT-R, which has been modified. It puts down about 540 awhp and 560awtq. I've only done about five track days so far, but man, what fun!
Jason here. Started auto-x a while back. Did some SCCA regional road racing (ITB VW) in the southeast. Took a few years off and am now back running some open track days and the Redline Time Attack.
Believe I have met a few of you at the SoCal tracks. Car is a pretty balanced 2004 SRT-4 which just needs a little more tuning. But the main focus this year will be on the driver

Hey Jason, good to see you here!
