    I don't. I found it on Instagram.

ucfbrett- I had them build it. I have built all my other cars, and when you think about it- $8500 for a Professional Racecar Manufacturer to build it, it was a no brainer. I flew out there before it was done and they poured my seat for me. It was an awesome experience. Yes- Workouts have started back up. You really need to be in shape to drive this car.

emilio700- You would just need a custom seat pour. You are the first I have heard complain about it but you are also 6'3". Take the whole seat insert out next time and see how it is.

    Chad,

Looks like a completely closed cockpit. Is it really temperature hot to drive? What is in it for ventilation?

I have two cockpit blowers plumbed for outside air (seen in picture). I added some vents on them to direct the flow. There are also two "air ports" on the vertical wall in front of your feet for additional air. It's really not that bad as I thought it was going to be. The cockpit blowers work really well in this environment. I also have a dual element coolsuit system and helmet blower. I did not even need them the first time out, granted it was only ~80 degrees out.

Can you cut that tube out and have a curved bar added or does that void the "spec" rules?

From that interior shot it looks do-able..

There's also space allotted for a Cool Suit system.

Headed up to Richards house this week to get the seat fitted. Trying to make the April 16 WRC enduro at Buttonwillow.

    Emilio,

Any idea of how many NP01's will make it out for the BW event?

The Facebook page said there are six signed up for the Sprint and maybe some of those will do the enduro.

There are 6 confirmed. Should be awesome. If someone wants to rent a car, you can rent the CLP car- They have prior commitments (Long Beach). Another car is waiting to get repaired (from TH25). Then there are a few builds going on. We could have 10+ cars if everyone attends and finished the builds.
    Thanks,

I realize it probably varies by customer, but any idea on the ballpark to rent it for a test day? a race weekend?

To test drive one for a 20min session is $500 (you get $500 credit if you buy one). I do not know what they charge for a race weekend. You would have to call them. There are racing license requirements to test drive one, they dont just let any wannabe racer jump into the NP01. For good reason I might add.
    Thanks,

Well that sounds reasonable. I might just do that. Is that through Jeremy?

Well it is official, there is no way in hell that I'm going to fit in it. We took the seat out of the car and I sat on the gas tank. With my knees against the dash bar, there was no additional room to put the OEM seat shell in.
Just barely enough Headroom but that's with me sitting on the frame without the seat in place. Richard is about 5-10, slim and even he would like the steering wheel higher than it is currently adjusted but that is as far up as it goes. With me in the car the steering wheel really needs to be a good inch higher. For me to fit well in the car with SFI padding on the dash bar, the dash bar would need to be raised a good two inches. Frankly I don't know how they're going to get drivers much more than about 6 or 6-1 into the car if they have any meat on their bones. I am super skinny at 163 pounds so anybody that's a normal thickness, say 190 pounds and 6 feet tall it's probably not going to fit into this thing. Really dissapointed and so is Richard. Oh well.
