    Default My FR-S build

I seem to have started a new thread with new data points. That's kind of a dumb idea I guess. So I'll start this one, and then just add to it when I get more done. I did a bunch of dyno work and with Berk technology on their mid pipe and exhaust delete pipe. In the end , they didn't add a ton of power (about 6 or 7 whp) but they removed close to 25lbs from the car. I'm pretty convinced that the ecu has a hp/tq calculator that is messing with timing and fuel maps to try and hit target power levels. The car is really consistent between runs, no matter the temps. dyno graphs and vids in the blog post:

As an aside, I've broken 2 studs off on my front wheels already. I use a torque wrench, and no impact tools. This is a little surprising to me. I am guessing replacing with stock pieces would be a bad idea. Need to find something else. I've never had problems with studs in other cars. I'm assuming ARP is the way to go. Any other good options out there?

As an aside, when will the 2013 NASA TT car classing be released? Is it safe to assume the FR-S will remain a TTD car?

What torque do you tighten to? Do you torque when the wheels/hubs are hot? Just curious.

Depends on whether we build one or not.

Well, we just need to develop mine into a TT car, then do something that forces me to remove it from the road - like make cats live in it for a weekend or something. Instant 949 PTD FRS.

Disguise its potential by getting me to race it all year and then you can jump in the car at Nationals and destroy everyone.

FRS is classed below its potential at PTD base class. It will probably win next years national in PTD
