Default A Must Read/View for Would Be Road Masters

    A "visit the track" testimonial:

Lamborghini Huracán Driver Hits 208 MPH Before Crash: Video.

Crap flushed about $250,000, but they did walk away.

being a Lambo. we all know that when speedo says 208MPH (was in kmh), its true speed was probably ~170mph.

That's why I like the Miata on skinny, all-season's. I dump the clutch at the light, string out the motor flat-out through red-line, pop it quickly into second, then I transition to the freeway onramp and throw it in sideways like Ken Block. All four wheels howl in unison, the car rebounds off the bump stops, then the tires gradually reconnect and I'm on the freeway. I look in my rear view mirror and there is that same minivan that was behind me from the light. He's tailgating me because I've been slowing him down.

It said 335 kilometers per hour on the speedo, according to the article. Looks like it in the video too.

Darwin was right, even for guys who can afford a car like that. He was driving 208 mph on a public highway in shorts and a t-shirt, OEM seat belt and, presumably, no helmet. He didn't deserve to walk away . . .
The deposed former Sheriff of trackHQ . . .

    2006 Porsche 997 Carerra Coupe 6-MT - daily driver
1992 Honda (Acura) NSX 5-MT - classic investment I couldn't resist and occasionally drive
2004 Honda S2000 AP2 6-MT - my last track day car (FOR SALE or not, depending on how I feel when I fall out of bed tomorrow morning)
2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR 6-MT - when I need a backseat, 4-doors, or a real trunk, and still want to haul ass . . .

Given customary practices in his neck of the woods, I also wonder what his blood alcohol percentage was.
