Default Motor Trend's video of 2012 best drivers car competition

BRZ looks good in a real pricey neighborhood.

Shocking! The 911 wins. Watching stuff like this is cancer to my bank account. I want a c2s. 997s are going to be less than $40k for the early ones soon enough.

17 second difference around LS in between the McLaren and the BRZ. That's a lot. I'd like to know the lap time difference between the 991 S PDK and the 991 S 6MT, because I like to shift for myself. Apparently the only manuals in the test were BRZ, Mustang and Camaro.

just so you know the 991 manual is a 7 speed. i got to drive one last weekend around surface streets and freeway. nice car but difficult to justify the price of a new one. it needs moar torqs. hard to beat the grunt of a C6 LS engine. steering-wise feels like there's a filter in the steering wheel, a little like an s2k but effort is more linear in the 911. i was expecting a rough ride with the 20" wheels but it is surprisingly comfortable. the engine sounds really good tho, even in the quiet exhaust mode.

and 7th gear is around 2100 rpm at 70 mph.

I wish they had 17" or 16" wheels instead of 20's. There is just something i don't like about having "DUBS" on a proper sports car.

I agree. It's a shame that a lot of these cars are designed around large wheel diameters to bow to the demands of the general public idiots.

I wish they would list minimum speed as well, instead of just maximum speed, for each corner segment. Seems a bit more relevant to what is a "driver's car" since everyone knows a high hp car is going to demolish a low hp car on the back uphill and the front straight.
