Default Motor Trend's Car of the Year

Not an altogether bad choice. I haven't heard or read anything else about this, but I expect some discussion of not choosing the new Miata.

Personally, the Disneyesque styling leaves me cold, but I am reading that the SS is nearly as fast as the 2015 Z28, for much less money. And the entry level cars could be track competitive with FRS and Miata offerings - maybe . . .

Think of it as a stretched* ATV coupe in Camaro drag, without the Caddy price tag.

    * One inch longer to properly set back the V-8.

The weight loss is impressive. Seems like a lot of scoot for <$30k for the 335hp v6 with independent rear suspension

I want to like the new Camaro. I really do. But it just isn't enough of a departure from the car it replaces.

Just like the Challenger, the new Camaro's look too much like a Hot Wheel for me to take seriously.

It may not look as good as an FRS, but the V6 might gobble one up at the track. And the SS easily outpaces the Mustang 350GT.

I wonder what the power potential of the turbo 4 is.

Seems like a bit less than the Ford Ecoboost. (But it almost equals out when adjusting for the relative weights.)
