    Why starting with a big compromise like a miata?

    If I had that kind of money, I'd build it. Those motors are obscenely priced. I think they are north of $25k.

    If I were to build a Miata with some other engine, it would probably be a Honda B18 with a reverse rotation G-Force 5 speed dog box. 9k rpm, 200whp and an OEM idle.

    K is a superior motor in every way but hard to make fit. Those awesome ports and rid length make for engine thats a good 3" taller than a BP. But Im not doing any Honda swaps so its academic. Id do an L33 way before any Honda. And a turbo BP before that.

    yeah i didnt think you were gunna do any kinda honda swaps soon, just wanted to hear your reasoning for B over K and makes perfect sense, thanks!

    Is the (aluminum) L33 reasonble durable? What do they weight compared to a Maxda B motor?
