    Default Miata ND - LS1

Seems like a whole lot of wasted effort, but:

    Wasted? No
They will probably build a dozen a year. Pretty sure LSx Miata conversions are the most profitable portion of their business.

Aside from their cost I never understood why people race them.
But obviously I just dont get it. -fatbillybob

    Why wasted?

That fit is tighter than the profit margins from selling ice cream in Alaska.

If they can sell them, I guess it isn't wasted; but it does seem like a lot of money - close to a Corvette itself.

Used donors seem like better candidates for LS swaps.

Don't get me wrong; I have no idea why anyone would want one, I just know they sell.

Yes, they do. We've already had at least one existing V8 swap customer knocking on our door to be the first ND we convert.
Still in the planning/design/engineering phases right now.

I guess this transforms the car completely. Now, a good 4 cyl turbo 250-300hp (BMW? ) will only enhance it overall without making it a monster.

There are a few turbo kits for the stock engine already. The AVO Turbo kit will be CARB legal and make about 210whp. We will have one of those soon.

^^^I am sure there are and there will be more coming. But the beauty of a well engineered modern turbo engine is that it's character will be hard to distinguish from a NA engine, except for the lower powerband, in most cases. You know, like complete opposite to Evo or Impreza Plus infinitely more reliability of course.

Our dyno is finally back in action. Time to compare and contrast our ND results with the folks like Emilio and Goodwin have been seeing.
Looks like we have some preliminary weights for the V8 hard parts as well, but I'll let Keith talk about those publicly.
