Default L.A. area S2000 guys, question for a friend

Hey, reposting this for a friend. He's just getting into tracking his S2000 and I want to point him in the right direction.

    Hey Jeff,
    .
    .
    .
    Couple questions:
Wanted to know if you knew of a good place for service for my S2000 near W. Hollywood. Not interested in going to my dealership, they suck. Having some issues with my brakes so wanted to have someone good take a look. Also what do you recommend in brake pads for street and track driving?

    Appreciate the help!

XP12/10 for street and track. or XP10/8 for low intermediate.

any decent mechanic can service it. S2000 don't need extra work.

only weak spot is crack brake rotors. bearing may be. needs a lot of negative camber, -2.5 or more (need camber kit for that, or just run up to -1.5 stock).

to take it out on track. just brake pads (bring spare rotors), good alignment, add oil catch can if you have AP1 (they smoke turning right). you are pretty much done.

Tony Fuchs Racing is near N Hollywood!
Google it or contact Ed Lee for their contact info cuz Ed services his S2000 there!!
Pads wise really depends on the user... Carbotech XP10/ 8, Hawk DTC, HT-10, HP+, and Project Miu Club Racer are all great pads!!!

Actually, if you read the OP carefully, he's looking for a shop near W. Hollywood, which ain't Tony Fuchs.

Lol! Elton's work is worth it though.

Or OP's friend could do it himself? Call me paranoid, but I do almost all of my own work, that way I know the exact setup/ins-and-outs of the car. And if any aspect about it sucks or breaks, it's my own damn fault.

I know that. I just put it out there for his consideration. Elton's work is top notch and he specializes in Hondas, especially S2000s.

We've met before at RACELINE and at SOW.
