Default Improve how your car feels!

I just found the best way to improve how your car feels.

Drive an RV for two weeks!

After driving around this thing for two weeks at, or close to the speed limit and taking corners v e r y s l o w, my car KICKS ASS! Boy does my car feel faster and handle better than ever!

Damn it's nice to be back.

I have the opposite feeling. Since I got the bike, my car feels slow. But it sure does corner a lot better than the bike.

welcome home Alvin, ops I mean Aaron. Richard is gettin to me.

Thats a sweet ride you got there. We should all rent one of those with a trailer in the back and hit the tracks all over North America when we retire. That would be the day.

BTW, the rental place didn't tell you, you need more negative camber on the front to balance out the duallies in the rear to handle the corners faster.

Yup, my daily driver is the company Ford Escape SUV, and my run around a 00' Toyota 4x4. The Miata feels like even more like a go kart after driving those all week, so I can only imagine what 2 weeks in a RV would do.

Yeah Manly, We should rent a huge RV and a big car carrier to haul several cars around to the best tracks of the country. and we should start with the California Speedway Infield, right Theo?

Maybe when one of us wins the lottery...

Aaron, I am taking your advice on this handling improvement. Here is what I will be driving in Vail for the next week:

Budget Rent-a-car Midsize: Chrysler Sebring or similar.

My car is going to feel great when I get back.

Nice John. Make sure that the entire time that you are driving it, you only brake with your left foot. After driving a rental for three weeks and only using my left foot on the break it felt much more natural to LFB on the track in my car.

Dude...you have to do what I did....go full bore for the Prius. Nothing less performance-friendly than that!

Unless they updated it recently, the steering wheel in the Prius is TINY. It feels so pu$$y.

I thought about the prius, and then the geo metro or similar. But I needed something that can hold 3 people and 6 snowboards. It's also supposed to snow the entire week, so I had to lower myself to driving a FWD car.....

I don't plan on bringing it back with any tread left on the tires.

OK just got back, and my OR SIMILAR turned out to be a dodge caliber. I had a choice of that or PT cruiser.

5 snowboards and 3 people we barely fit. The car would be cool with an extra 200 hp and better suspension and better looks.

But this brought up a great idea in my head. Sorry for the thread hijack, but we should do a: RENTAL CAR CUP. Everyone pick a class of rental car and then off to streets. This would save hundreds of dollars over taking our regular cars for one day.

    Anyone in?

Great idea JC, I vote for sub compact class for $19.99 per day rental.
    Chevy Aveo, Kia Rio, etc...
Might not hang as much lateral Gs as a Go Kart, but the rental is sure a lot cheaper. haha

Wonder if the rental car insurance specifically excludes anything closely resembling a race track? Depends on the company I'd bet.
