Not sure about the front end but tough to argue with the bang for the buck.

^^^ I'll wait for the Z06, which should weigh less than 3,100 lbs.

I kind of want one as well. The taillights and the exhaust tips are a little funky but otherwise a great car!

Doubt you'll see anywhere near those weight savings as the base car now uses the aluminum chassis as well.

Wonder why they went to a 7speed transmission?

Hell you hardly will get out of 4th, less than 140 mph.

It is counter intuitive, but I was told by someone in the know that a lot of the extra weight comes from the extra stuff needed to get the mileage ratings up.

I hear that this particular model is carrying some extra weight for the heated and A/C seats, etc.

Hopefully the model that comes with the sports seats, etc. is a little leaner.

The first six are relatively close I am told and the seventh is for cruise control on the freeway.

What's up with Corvette and power seat. I understand that you have it in either base or luxury model. But why would you put them in z06 or zr1.

In a 2 seater sports car, how often do you need to change seating position. This is not like a family car that husband and wife both drives.

Vette drivers need to slide the seat back so they can get their belly behind the steering wheel.

True, but BMW's come with rubber airbags to keep the pricks inside nice and protected.
