They are advertised as affordable. but you can buy a half dozen Miata for one of these.

I dont understand why they couldn't just mount the camera to a bar instead of the helmet to minimize vibration.

How much exactly is this thing? Basically looks like a go cart with a roll cage

30k USD seems steep for a glorified go kart.

I only saw $30k AUD not USD.

Last spring I was in the tire shop at WSIR and they were working on a similar product but a little bigger that they were planning to sell.

^^^ The current conversion rate from US to Australian dollars is almost exactly 1:1. $1.00 USD = $0.996 AUD.

Maybe the chassis vibrates more than on his helmet. I mounted a camera on my go kart and the video was more shaky compare to mounting it on my helmet.

neither, its more like something in between. but it will probably handle more like a go kart because of the solid axle with no diff. i can imagine this thing can easily accommodate a more powerful motorcycle engine. say 120hp at 400lbs. $30k is definitely way too pricy for this. $15k will be more like it.

Well then hopefully that includes some type built in tax. I always hear how expensive cars are in Australia so maybe that includes this thing. Personally I'd rather have the Allison pro 4 or whatever it's called and have an extra 10 grand for spare wheels, tires and race fees.
