Default how to make your own race car vinyl numbers and decals ?

tired of spending money and time on buying vinyl numbers.
I understand quite few of you make your own. so how do you do it ? something simple and cheap (otherwise it would defeat the purpose)...
    plotter, software, vinyl sheet, etc...
does anyone make an all in one package ?

Not sure a $300 (including shipping) machine is what William had in mind for cheap DIY stickers . . .

actually, that's quite a bit cheaper than I thought.
have you priced out a number sets recently ? you've gone through ~5 cars in the last few years, that's easily $400-$500 in vinyl stickers.
don't forget to add 4 sets of numbers, 4 sets of class stickers (8 if you race enduro, 12 if you double/triple dip like my cars), windshield banner, driver name......and this is not including any sponsor stickers, which is usually bigger and cost more.

The only cars that had vinyl stickers are/were my race cars, the FM, and the Miata (sold). I just use racer's tape for numbers on my track day cars. I didn't even have vinyl class stickers when I ran the S2000 in NASA TTD -- just used tape.

but I often need extra class stickers, or numbers. it is not worth the time and effort to order just a few numbers.

I also buy the store bought (Chartpak) 5" numbers, for class stickers. but I race PTE, E3, E2, so "E" is always used up !!

Yep, especially for multi color stuff.. the two big logos on the side of my car (3 colors) were well over $100 alone.

I'll bet if you contacted Kg Tucker, he'd work with you to get you what you need. It'd be like ordering "off the menu."

I just tell the wife what numbers I need and she takes care of it. I don't know what she uses to make them.

this goes into the category of things I want, but probably won't use enough to justify the purchase.
