Haha the SRF was pretty funny. Is SCCA really enforcing the rule, and how will that effect the spec classes?

Frankly, I don't find Hitler humor funny . . . I mean, 6 million dead Jews and all.

Humor is a great weapon that should have no limits as to its targets.

    Just ask Mel Brooks:

Springtime for Hitler - song - The Producers - Mel Brooks (1968) - YouTube

I simply said I don't find the worst mass-murdering tyrant in the history of the world funny. Whatever makes you chuckle, bozo.

I have no issues with making fun of Hitler. In fact, I think people should strive to do so every day.

The terrorists did win. We have stupid layers of "security" at airports and lots of other places. The U.S. government spies on all Americans and monitors their phone calls and email. Everytime some moron forgets his lunchbox on a bus bench, they shut down half the city and bring out the bomb squad to investigate the "suspicious package," and then they send in a robot to blow up a tuna sandwich and a bag of potato chips.

Truer words about the aftermath of 9/11 and Bush's legacy to the United States of America have never been uttered. We lost the war on terror far worse than any other lost conflict in our history.

So Hitler is "mellow" and my jokes and opinions are "harsh"? You know nothing about the history of the world in the last 100 years.

I didn't find the OP videos at all funny (but the acting was excellent); but I have nothing against Hitler humor. I see where the Sheriff is coming from. Hitler's actions caused unprecedented suffering and death across the world, particularly in the Russians and Jews. On the surface it would seem that reducing those events to comic one-liners is disrespectful and the topic would be better served to be discussed in quiet somber tones or altogether forgotten. Germany opted for the latter in the aftermath of the war, perhaps not realizing that the cause of Hitler's rise to power was not the popularity of his agenda, but the popularity of his promises to a desperate and impoverished nation, a nation that felt it has been cheated of its fair place in the world.

But people deal with grief and difficult subjects differently. Why do you suppose black comedians bring up the race issue frequently in their acts? Do you suppose it is because they have no respect or appreciation for the subject material? I would think not. I don't think it would be appropriate or sensitive to ask everyone to deal with any one subject in the same manner; though it would be appropriate to voice your displeasure, as our Sheriff has. That said, even though I abhor political correctness, I would be very selective in choosing my audience before trying Hitler humor, abortion humor, religion humor, race humor, etc.
