In one word, what is another term for "Loose" when we describe a car's handling characteristic?
The security question doesn't match the answer. I googled it and found plenty of posts on other forums with people that didn't get it either. "Squirrely" was my answer.

As kids, we used the term "fishtailing" - way back when.

The term mostly applied to repeated oversteering in opposite directions - as we tried to straighten out our cars after getting loose in in snow or on dirt roads. Very stupid fun.

It's from your time period, the 60s and 70s. Star Trek.

^^^I'm supposed to remember one line from one episode of a TV show that I probably watched over 40 years ago? I get it, you are one of those Star Trek convention geeks.

BTW, the actor who played the doctor Bones was a neighbor of mine in the 1990s. I met with him a couple of times to discuss damage from the 1994 Northridge Earthquake -- we shared a backyard block wall that collapsed. By then he was an old man who smoked like a chimney.

Twofer's lack of medical training helps explain his confusion - since "loose" is such a common medical term.
