Probably a stupid question but where would Super GT (GT500) cars be comparable to in other established race series in U.S. and Europe?

IMO GT500 is better than DTM. Its between F3 and F1, perhaps some F3 drivers cant move up to F1 and settle to race in Japan GT, like Andre Couto.
    R. Schumacher was also in GT500 before. And I think they make the nicest looking race cars. True that they are very exclusive, European drivers are often second drivers.

GT500 cars are probably faster than ALMS GT1 cars... much more technology involved with Super GT cars then in the GT classes of ALMS.

Would LOVE to race these cars!

I was at Cal Speedway too! Damn... That was when I first got my license. Haha! I just turned 16 before Super GT.
