The order went in today for the first set of orders.

If you want one and did not order yet you can still do so by Friday.

Tomorrow is the last day to order for the group buy:

I just got this update from the seller:

We’re actually out until mid-April now. We’ve got 40 power units coming in early March but those are all sold out. He next batch of power units in April is going to be 200 units so we might be able to hold inventory this time.

If you want to cancel your order based on the wait time, please drop a message to Shawn at sampsonracing@gmail.com

It sounds like most of us need to wait about 60 days.

I think this was implied in a subtle way earlier. But nothing like just flat out stating it.

One gotcha with these, the car will move about a foot when you raise it due to the jack traversing an arc. If your car is stored somewhere tight, you might have to roll the car back before hitting "lift" so it will still fit.

I'm surprised how fast it goes up with a 12V power supply.

    That guy's garage is carpeted.

Hey! Good news! The Quick Jacks are finally in. Here is the message I just got.

"Hey Oli... just got the call and they are in!

Please pass this along to your folks, make sure we have the correct count and a yes from them all. After we have the yes, we will need to get there CC info.

    Cheers Shawn:"

Thats a great offer! You guys in SoCal should take William up on that deal. UPS shipping has gone crazy over the last few months. For folks out of town we ship UPS.

This is a pretty crappy video I took Friday night at BRP after I set-up the quickJack. Set-up was quick and easy. Assembly only had two minor SNAFUs.
    1. They did not include $0.50 worth of Teflon tape they request for a couple of the fittings.
    2. The first half of my super short directions were spot on. Then I had two elbow fittings and two cannisters left over, but no instructions on how to assemble them. The diagrams of the unit made it plain as day to two minutes later they were assembled. Shawn came by as I was concluding assembly and he told me the last shipment had those cannisters already mounted. But putting them on is simple.

I took this short video to send to a couple of people, but it was at 11 PM on Friday night at the track as I was closing up shop after preparing for Saturday and Sunday racing and TT2. I planned to take better daylight video, but I forgot. Once I start racing stuff like that happens.....

The unit met all my expectations and it is now my new favorite tool. It is so fast, easy and stable. It lifts the car reasonably high to make so much more work convenient. I left the car jacked up over the evening without settlling the lift on the safety stops. It did not leak. You will hear a little bit of a moan when lowering the car, but it did not appear to do that on race days, although I may not have heard it, but I was far enough from the track I think I would have noticed... bottom line is I think it stopped the funny sound. It may have just been a little air in the hydraulic lines or something... who knows....

Everybody should have one these. A bit of a pain to move around (its heavier than it looks) but worth the effort. It is nice at the track but even better in the shop. If you don't have a two post lift already this is the closest you get to heaven in a home garage. Jacks garage being the exception of course.

Does ok. Hate that I'm not supposed to drive over it. I think I'd rather have something I could drive over so I can leave it in place.

Could you cut a pair of channels in a garage slab for these? Drive over them that way?

Don't think so... The rails are right under the tires. I should have a look and figure out why they are worried.

    Also looking at this;
    FREE SHIPPING — BendPak Portable Mid-Rise Scissor Lift — 6,000lb. Capacity, Model# MD-6XP | Scissor Lifts| Northern Tool + Equipment

But I would have to build some ramps to get my car high enough and it weighs nearly 1000 lbs so moving it isn't really an option. It does get the car higher though.
