I have a feeling I will just spin the tires from corner to corner.

I think you could definitely do it and yes you never get completely hooked up in the infield. That's half the fun! You're one of the few guys with enough car control to throttle steer your way around the tight turns on drift or grip night in a race tired Z06. Grip is way more fun for me simply because the run last about 3 1-/2 minutes compared to about 25 sec for the drift runs.
But mainly it's something to do instead of K1/Dromo or watching TV. Leave home the late afternoon, goof off at the track, eat delicious taco's, be home in bed by 11:00. For $25

Like William said, it's great way to shakedown new mods before committing to a track weekend. As much as I'm constantly testing, tuning and tweaking, I'll be there once or twice a month taking advantage of a way to open up my non-street legal car in between track events.

Kicking around the idea of holding a Miata Challenge event there..

Aside from their cost I never understood why people race them.
But obviously I just dont get it. -fatbillybob

    Hmmm.maybe a joint Miata/S2K Challenge event??

No classes...mods don't really matter that much on an Auto-X type course. We'll average all the S2K vs. Miata times, and the losing "team" has to buy tacos for the winning team? Cool???

Any day Mon - Thurs. You mentioned to me that usually you have to get there by 4ish to get a good spot. However, I don't think that would work for corporate whores like me. I'd say 6-7pm at the earliest.

Every Tuesday night the track holds the Time Attack, I will talk to the owner and have our own, it can even be on the weekends. So lets just say weekdays ok but weekends preferred? 15-20 cars? I will work on the pricing but I guarantee should be cheaper than a track day.

For me...weekdays are preferred. I've already planned all my regular trackdays on weekeneds for the entire 2009 season and that's all the gf will allow.

No but seriously, if the majority of TrackHQ guys are for the weekend, I'm still in!
