    Default Got cage?

I'm sure many of you have seen this incident. I'm not familiar with any of the details, other than the way it shows how not-exactly-fire-breathing cars on a not-exactly-hazardous corner can still produce one hell of a rollover. The driver broke an arm, which isn't bad when you consider what could have happened.

Everybody be careful and have a nice Thanksgiving.

Saw a similar video with a Lotus Elan.......immediately ordered arm restraints.

How many people drive open cars, or a convertible with a hard top which will fly off in a roll over, and do not have arm restraints?

This and the video of the Cobra replica at WSIR are probably the best sellers of arm restraints.

I wonder if a bolted-on factory hardtop would have stayed in place in a wreck like that?

    So compelling . . . .

A picture (or video clip) really can be worth a thousand words.

No idea, but if it went, arm restraints will be nice to have, no?

Been driving with arm restraints for the last 3 years.
It is the cheapest piece of safety equipment you can buy at ~$25 for the ones you put your arm through or ~$75 to have them sewn into your suit.
Having them sewn in makes it a lot easier to work with and it only takes a few extra seconds to strap in your car, well worth the extra $50.

Cobra video from WSIR - Cobra Crash Willow Springs, Short version 130 mph - YouTube
It's pretty much a PSA why you want a real racing seat with 6 point harnesses, arm restraints, HANS and proper roll over protection.
The only reason this guy came out in one piece is dumb luck.
