    They should forget the Civic, that $800 would go a long way toward an E30.

    Ok, perhaps you are trying to mistake real BMWs (E30 and older) and new BMWs (not real BMWs ). My E30 has at least 240k miles and 28 years old and in it's current track form is making over 2g lateral and 3 of the hubs are still original. Also it has stock transmission and stock diff with just 1 clutch extra. These old engines can be destroyed only by purpose, after someone has drained the coolant and the oil. Or if you make more than 3 times the stock power you can brake an axle. I can write a book on that, but some other time

    I'm a big fan of E30 BMWs. I keep kicking around the idea of getting a 4 door as a daily driver - love the way they look.
