Default Formula One Organizers Sell Most Liquor in Texas

    From today's USA Today:

"Circuit of the Americas became November's top liquor seller in Texas as the inaugural Formula One race weekend in Austin drew more than 260,000. The Texas comptrollers office says Circuit-related events had $2.8 million worth of beer, wine and mixed drink sales."

    So, there's that.

Forget the Big Tobacco sponsors. What would be some good pairings?

    McLaren - Tecate (Perez)
    Force India - Budweiser
    Sauber - Becks
    Mercedes - Heineken
Red Bull - Stoli (who else?)

Aside from their cost I never understood why people race them.
But obviously I just dont get it. -fatbillybob

Sounds right, I bought a couple of mixed drinks for the awesome COTA glass. It seemed like everyone was either hammered or had a drink in their hand haha.

I bet a "mixed drink" is not cheap at CotA.

I can't imagine the spike in sales Shiner had during that weekend.

I think they were $12 each. Not as bad as I expected since they came with free COTA glasses with the track map etc. on them.

It's all about pre-gaming in the parking lot before going in!
