I think they are Cute! LOL.

I saw a video of one of these at Streets. They look terribly fun. Basically, an ATV with a car body. I would want to put the 350 two stroke out of my Banshee into the 450 model. This would make for a really fun cost effective series.

Oh no, not the "cute" comment. I got enough of that with my Miata!

There's a company out of Santa Barbara that's making something similar but theirs can be setup for dirt track too. I'll try to find their link when I get a chance.

Edit: Motobuggy is what I was thinking of but all I can find is their FB page.

It seems like it's positioned as a car to run in a feeder series to rallying. The price is definitely right, so it should be interesting to see how it's received.

If I had a big property or something, this would be soooo fun to have around. At least until the neighbor kid crashes it.

Gokart is to F1 as this is to WRC. I would be very interested in this if it took off. Looks like a lot of fun for $7500.

The problem with that theory is that you are talking about European F1 drivers starting out in go-karts. You actually have to prove you can drive to get a driver's license there. Do you know hard it is to get a regular driver's license in Finland (home to some of the greatest rally drivers)?

These Formula Cross cars are being marketed in the USA, where the California DMV will license a dead cow.
    DutchOven and JJ1 like this.
The deposed former Sheriff of trackHQ . . .

    2006 Porsche 997 Carerra Coupe 6-MT - daily driver
1992 Honda (Acura) NSX 5-MT - classic investment I couldn't resist and occasionally drive
    2004 Honda S2000 AP2 6-MT - track day car
2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR 6-MT - when I need a backseat, 4-doors, or a real trunk, and still want to haul ass . . .

The dead cow theory explains why I'm so frustrated driving in CA. I didnt mean it's a gateway to becoming a WRC driver, I just meant its a scaled down version of a rally car. Much like a kart is a scaled down version of an open wheel / formula car.
