Default F1 TV streaming for $90 annual, is finally up and running

    there are 2 packages.

    1. TV Access - basically replay 2 days AFTER. $27 (no way I can avoid F1 results on social media for 2 days)
    2. TV Pro - everything else. $90 (I signed up for this one)

Cool. The easy access to archive races will be sweet. No apps yet, but I am sure they will trickle out over the next several weeks.

This might be cool for the shop. Host live viewing parties on multiple monitors maybe.

Aside from their cost I never understood why people race them.
But obviously I just dont get it. -fatbillybob

This is cool, watch the race from whichever driver you want.

Watch on TV and then pull up the driver footage from the close battles as they happen.

I can't pay for the F1 content especially how F1 looks today. I also can't bring myself to pay for MotoGP so I am in the dark. I just won't do it. OTOH I just paid $1800 bucks for a BestWestern in Sonoma for the Runoffs. Lame!

Just tried to book a hotel for Monterey Historics in Aug and the Motel 6 in Salinas is $240/nt. I don't think so.......

So my question is... is it time indexed?

Meaning...if you watch it hours later, is the whole thing keyed to a fixed time (i.e., race start =0) so that all the radio, track location, etc., makes sense?

Then I have to decide if I can watch on my puny media PC plugged into HDMI, or wait for the FireTV app.

I tried to download the app Saturday morning, but I guess it got shut down. William got an email from them saying that they temporarily stopped the service to work out the bugs. Hopefully this gets fixed soon. They initially said it would be ready for Round 1....

My plan will be watch it using the Apple TV screen sharing feature off my phone. Works pretty good for other apps, and full HD quality. Other plan will be to HDMI out off my lap top if I want to deal with running a cord.

the email I posted was an issue about live streaming during qualifying. but it works to watch replay.

they were also nice enough to refund 1 month. even though worked as a replay.

this is watching on a PC, not on an app.

Cool that they offer the cheaper delayed replay option. I rarely get to watch races on time or in their entirety in one sitting these days.
