Electric for daily, E85 for race car

Or more likely, what Brad said about sitting on top of all those voltages. Causing brain fade.

Don: I never considered Prius Plug-in an EV, reason is its short 15 miles range.
15 miles in a regular Prius cost about $1 in fuel...I don't think many of us is willing to go through hassle of popping open charge port, and plug/unplug charge to save $1 (this is assume electricity is free) every time.

I know of 2 people that bought Prius Plug in. only reason is for HOV access, both never ever plug in.........

Americans just don't understand how cheap gas is here. In Europe, Britain and Japan, they pay more than twice what we do. We have it really good with the low gas prices in the U.S.A.

Wanted to take a minute and dig this tread up from the dead...

2 months ago Ford dropped the lease price on the focus electric, it peaked my interest... A few us here in the office (Razor USA) were kicking it around a group buy but could not really get any traction ... Then I forwarded William's pro/con list and 3 of us bit the bullet that day... 2 weeks later the company responded by installing charging stations in the parking lot. As soon as the charging stations went in 2 more employees picked up EVs, and I just recently got a second Focus for the wife(Emilio bought her Miata).

    Anyway,
Big thank you to William.. The clear pro/con list made the decision easy.

William also got me looking at the fiat 500e lease...

Right now I drive a company car all the time except while towing to the track but that might change in January.

What happens to all these EVs after the leases are over? What's the used market on EVs going to look like in 3 years and are they going to retain their power capacity and have motors that will last over 100k miles? I'm not a fan of buying new cars but it might be more or a necessity for EVs.

I am not sure I would buy an EV,,, sort of like an awesome new smartphone that looks very limited a few years later.

FYI, The Fiat made the short list, until I tried to put my entire body inside to drive it...

for those of you missed my FB deal on Fiat 500e. this is deal of the century. but expiring on 10/31. I didn't post here, because most of Fiat dealers already sold out.

you must have another lease, because this is a conquest deal:

    500e only has a couple of options: $500 color and $495 E-Sports.

if you get base 500e, deal is:
    12k miles per year x 2 years
    $350 drive off
    $99 per month

if you get upgraded color and e-sport
    10k miles per year x 2 years
    $350 drive off
    $99 per month

plus Fiat give you ~$500 per year for car rentals. so for those long road trip. you can go rent a car at Enterprise and Fiat pays for them.

    I leased one.
Hakeem also leased a Fiat.........not sure if this Italian EV or Japanese rotary is more reliable ?
