    • Were you there this weekend for F1?
    • Have you driven or been on the racing surface?
    • Do you know of any club level events of DE's scheduled there in 2013?
    • Inside info on parking, access, hotels, restaurants, best local beer, etc?
    • When Texas secedes will it be renamed to "The Best little racin' track in Texas" ?
    1) yes, it was epic
    2) no. Only investors, F1 drivers, Ferrari challenge, Porsche challenge, and Mario Andretti so far
    3) rumors only
    4) for a club weekend you won't have to worry about that
    5) the "Americas" part of the name refers to the North and South American continents, NOT 'merica

And with the imminent secession, its own country.

I would pay untold sums of money to run a big-field PTE race at COTA in 2013.

The more I think about a road trip to race on COTA the more I want to make it happen. Saturday night in Austin is a key ingredient. It would be up to the locals to chaperone us around the best breweries.

Aside from their cost I never understood why people race them.

There are so many California transplants chasing jobs in Texas right now that you will fit right in.

    That would be a must.
I want to contact that NASA region to see if they are planning an event before committing to the SCCA event.

You should rephrase. Ask what entry fee they would be willing to pay. Some of those guys might be factoring in a longer tow.

I really want to race at COTA but with limited time and budget it would have to be a national championship type event. I really hope NASA makes this happen for the next National facility after Miller. I can wait.
