case of "you mad bro". Kyle should be suspended for the rest of the season and a BIG fine.

Imagine someone doing that to you while you were running the ACS Roval in turn 2 at top speed. I'd probably be too scared still to even kick the guys' ass after lol

What happens if he ended up killing him. So its okay do that and get slap on wrist, if the person you intentionally put into a wall at 140mph is not injured. But if he died, then what, then noooo what Kyle did was super wrong. So it just depends if the driver is either not hurt, injured, or dead although the intention was clear of purposely putting him into the wall. I don't get how officials hand down penalties/sanctions. Im pretty sure if this happened on the freeway, it would be assault with a deadly weapon or something to that effect. Again, this is not a case of **** happens in racing where someone got loose and a bunch of cars crash. This is premeditated revenge with the clear intent of putting him into the wall on purpose under yellow flag conditions.

Im curious, do rules and regulations of a professional and sanctioned sport supersede local, state, and federal laws? Basically you can get away with criminal prosecution in professional sports than sports played in a public area for example.

I think there is something missing here. What punishment, if any, did NASCAR mete out to Kyle Busch for this incident?

Doesn't seem like enough, given his history.

I'm wondering, is a fine, or a loss of car due to a crash in motorsports a write-off? I'm asking because obviously people that run a business and also race try to write off as much as possible of their racing costs due to the fact that they're sponsoring their own company with their cars' livery and such.

I have a feeling more will be coming. Given the recent deaths in motorsports, this is pretty shocking behavior.

Even his spotter on his radio was trying to tell him to cool it and back off don't do anything stupid, but nooo Kyle just ignored him and said F*ck it, BAM and RAM! His intentions can not be any clearer. Im wondering what Ron H. had to say about it. Any videos of his reactions?

I think he should be kicked out of NASCAR.
Ever wondered where the line between overly aggressive driving and assault with a deadly weapon is? You just saw it.

Aside from their cost I never understood why people race them.

I actually agree with this and a lot of what wast said in here so far. Its pretty apparent by his previous incidents the penalties of his actions have very little effect on his decision making. The best way to prevent these kinds of things and potentially fatal incidents from occurring is to make an example of him and just ban him all together from the series. If that doesn't send a clear message that this type of behavior will not be tolerated I don't know what will. 10 years ago before hans was implemented this type of incident could have easily ended in a fatality.

Just imagine racing at WSIR and you bump someone under braking at T3. Suddenly he comes back at you at T8-T9 WOT and rams you off the road spinning at 130mph to the ouside... Not pretty. Just because walls are present doesnt mean its okay to do what he did. People can still get hurt/killed. Imagine if that track had no walls. :X

I say at the minimum ban him for the entire next season and let him rethink and cool off. Also make him personally liable and pay to fix/build Ron Hornaday's car. That would sting him real good.

How about taking away a sponsor each time he is found to be at fault and add a season long penalty fine each time he wins prize money, for each incident add 10% to the total. No money no racing!

Default Kyle Busch out of ride for rest of 2011?

    From Jayski.com

Jayski's NASCAR Silly Season Site - NASCAR Sprint Cup News Page

UPDATE: on the website, tireball.com is reporting.....the rumors and if they are true, like they appear to be, then Kyle Busch is out of a ride until Daytona and now without sponsorship. Busch was parked this [last] week at Texas due to actions in the Camping World Truck Series when he wrecked fellow competitor Ron Hornaday under caution.(tireball.com).
AND in Twitter, SceneDaily's Bob Pockrass reports in a few Tweets:
NASCAR has given Kyle the OK to race. It's in the hands of the sponsor and the team.
On Kyle Busch: JGR still hasn't confirmed if he'll race Cup at PIR. I lean toward he'll race but wouldn't be surprised either way.
For those asking about Kyle and PIR, I think more likely he races than not, but JGR has yet to confirm that he will race.
AND II the weekly race preview for JGR/Kyle Busch has not been released as of yet when it usually comes out on Tuesday.
UPDATE: The fallout from #18-Kyle Busch's road rage at Texas continued Thursday when one of his sponsors asked for him to be removed from the season-ending Nationwide Series race. Multiple people familiar with Busch's schedule told the AP that Z-Line Designs asked this week that Denny Hamlin replace Busch in next weekend's Nationwide race at Homestead. The people spoke on condition of anonymity because Busch's future was still being discussed Thursday with sponsors and Joe Gibbs Racing. Among the options being considered is Aric Almirola replacing Busch in the final two Sprint Cup Series races of the season, as primary sponsor M&M's decides how it wants to proceed with Busch. Although NASCAR has cleared Busch to race this weekend at Phoenix, JGR officials have been silent on his status in Sunday's Cup race.(more at the Associated Press website)
for all the past news, statements, and updates on NASCAR's parking of Busch at Texas, go to Jayski's #18 team news page.(11-10-2011)

I'll bet NA$CAR told Gibbs to deal with it, meaning drop him for the rest of the year.

    Sucks to be you Kyle!!
