It does by helping to relieve the tremendous air pressure under the hood.

either do a heat wrap, or/and do a simple shield to deflect hot air
Couple hundred degree air is not going to make any difference at all. I measured the effect of an 1800* turbo next to my intake manifold vs the air at the throttle body and there was marginal if any difference.

Agreed, having the filter itself there behind the radiator would be bad, but piping is fine.

You could bedazzle the intake piping if it makes you feel sexier.

Gold is the best infrared reflector. Use some of your gold chains on the intake tubing

Is it still using an oil pan for an undertray?

It's worth 0.2s/lap, that oil pan.

Yeah, it's in my trailer. But I'll give it to Oli since he tends to need it more than I do.

You always spot the precision work when the guy under the car has a drill and vice grips handy. Needs more hammer.

Flink also loves working upside down under the car, or as he see's it, right side up.
