    Default Chuckwalla LeMons race

We are running the Lemons race next weekend at Chuckwalla and I just read that there are 140 teams entered.

If this is accurate, the only place more crowded than the track will be the pits.

For the most part I hate crowds, and after sitting in general admission at F1 2 weeks ago and now this event next week, I am going to need professional therapy!

140 teams, let's say each team has 4 drivers and 2 crews/friends/gf/bf/buddy/mechanic. that's 840 people. there are 2 toilet stalls, 1 small fuel storage tank. no food within 30 miles..........

140 race cars, 140 towing vehicles, at least another 140 to ferry crews and drivers. their paddock barely fits 100 cars...

I can't even imagine a 140 cars on that track at once? That's 1 car every 101 feet assuming equal spacing

Usually 95% of those who sign-up start, and amazingly about 75% of the cars are "running" at the finish

    William -

They built real bathrooms, but they are insufficient for 1000 people. That will be a problem.

But I'd still like to run the LeMons race at Chuckwalla. Anybody got a seat to sell?

This sounds like the motor sport equivalent of Burning Man.

Hmmm . . . could be a businsess opportuntiy for a pay toilet operator and subway sandwich and medical marijuana re-sellers.

You, obviously, have never been catherized. I'd rather be poked in the eye with a sharp stick.
