    Default Christmas Track related goodies

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope Santa was good to those both naughty and nice. What did he bring you to make you faster, safer or more comfortable on track?

I got NRG steering wheel quick release and some FM aluminum louvered hood vents.

Nobody buys me track gifts. So I think I'm buying myself Ryan C.'s T1 C5-Z06 as a belated X-mas gift. Final decision to follow . . .

I got a new visor and an electric tongue jack for my trailer. I asked for faster lap times, but we'll have to wait and see.

Money enough for any ~$600 neck protection I want. The question is: which one? I am leaning towards either the youth necksgen or the R3. I need to go out and begin test fitting. I already know the R3 chest strap is way too large for me and I'd have to get one custom cut.

I might never have to set up a beacon on a tripod again.

But it won't make me any faster. Richard, I'll watch for you in my mirrors -- you can go by on the left or the right.

I think this was the 4th Christmas in a row I asked my wife not to get me anything for Christmas because I already bought too many track related goodies and tires...

Richard, looking forward to seeing you in a vette next year. I think you just lowered the average age of vette drivers a few years.

Clarkson, known to hate the Prius, spotted in CA driving one. My favorite gift, a Clarkson mask.

Richard, come race in PTE. At least a Miata will fit in your trailer.

I specifically make every effort I can to not ask for things related to racing, since everyone knows I'm just taking things from the list that I was going to buy anyways and passing it on to them haha

I do believe my parents got me a GoPro since my last one fell off the motorcycle at 80 mph... won't know until I can visit them up North. I was stuck having to work for the holidays.

I'd love to get myself an AIM Solo for Xmas but haven't found a good enough deal on one.

That's what I said, too. But I got a new book ("A Practical Guide to Race Car Data Analysis by Bob Knox") and the fancy GM bed rails with adjustable anchors for the new truck. Hopefully the former makes me faster, and the latter gets my stuff that doesn't fit in the trailer to and from the track a little safer. :-)
