When will SCCA learn? This is part of their meddling BS that stopped me racing in ITA. They also decimated rally, IMO.

Some of the best racing I have ever seen was T1 and T2 in the '90s as the undercard to TransAm. Those battles in T2 between the Integras and the e36 3 series were phenomenal!

Thanks for the sigs guys . I thought T1 was moving forward and I'm extremely happy with my T1 car the way it sits. Our group is growing in CA and we think T1 should continue to be a fast class where vettes, vipers, porsches, etc. can race at full steam. We don't want to add a bunch of dead weight and restrictors to our cars so we can slow down to T2 lap times. I think with some sensible and stable rules, T1 has a lot of potential. But they need to move forward and make small adjustments to equalize the cars. Bring the T2 cars up to our speed with some sensible mods.

Ever since I joined scca last year, it seemed to me that the organization was out of touch. I really like Cal Club and I think scca puts on great racing events both in SF and Cal Club. But as an organization they have become out-dated and have not progressed along with the sport. NASA is booming with business and I think it's due to their hpde and TT programs. Plus a sensible rule set for the racing classes and a popular enduro racing program. SCCA on the other hand seems unwilling to adapt to the marketplace or even meet the desires of their existing racers. They just change rules as they see fit even though it affects nearly all the touring racers forcing them to spend money modifying their cars or getting their cars kicked out of the class they were racing in! Not a smart way to attract new racers IMO. If SCCA ends up dividing the corvettes and slowing down the C5 then we will have a bunch of T1 racers who need to make a decision on what they want to do next year. Should be interesting...

^^^ The biggest difference between SCCA and NASA is that SCCA is a private club run by volutunteer event workers, and NASA is a for-profit business with paid employees.

The SCCA has been ****ed up for the last 20 years. I still don't understand how they stay alive.

I really love it when CalClub calls your race group to grid in 110 degree heat at Buttonwillow, and as soon as you are all lined up and ready to go, they put up a sign "15 minute worker break" so we can all roast in our cars.

My favorite is the 5,3,1 within 90 seconds for all 3 boards when I'm sitting there trying to buckle up after they told us to get out of the cars. Thank you SFR.
