This just doesn't make any sense on a cool down lap...how could he not be able to avoid a car in front of him and flip upside down?!

    Makes no sense.

Well, doing anything that would lead to a rollover on a cooldown lap makes no sense. Somebody wasn't thinking and was driving a little too aggressive when they shouldn't have been... Hope we can all learn a little from his mistakes.

thanks manly for lending us your truck and garage to store his parts.

gary (white fc) admits he was an idiot about the incident and i will give him more than enough grief for it. while laying on the ground bloody and wounded, he was still apologizing to Aaron for taking track time away from everyone and the first text i got from him was that he was sorry. guy almost dies and im worried sick and instead of giving me a status update he gives me an apology.

i think he learned his lesson. all in all a good weekend and he had fun despite rolling 3 times.

    Car in front braked.

FC had steering input and also braked. caused an oversteer situation and went off the track where the dirt was soft and caught his wheels in a way to cause a rollover. despite the situation with the car in front, he should have not been driving in that manner. im about to have lunch with him and have some more words now that he's safe and rested.

then we'll be looking at the next car for him to roll.

I know that requires single God hand steering skills!

Actually all it requires is not paying attention to the corner workers and thus not knowing it's the checker flag lap.

WOW! THAT'S A SCARY THING TO SEE. IS HE OK. HOPE JUST MINOR INJURY.

IT'S A REALITY CHECK THAT THINGS CAN HAPPEN. SHOW HOW IMPORTANT FLAG WORKERS ARE AND FOLLOWING THE TRACK RULES ARE. FROM THE PHOTO IF I WAS DRIVING THAT CAR MY HEAD WOULD BEEN TAKEN OFF, SCARY. I HOPE THE PERSON IS OK AND SORRY TO SEE HIS RIDE IS TOTAL.

I am not sure what safety equipment he had, but this goes to show you, a 5/6 point harness with no rollbar has the possibility of being deadly.

Had he have been wearing one of those, and a Hans, There would have been no way to duck with the roof caving in.

Craziness... Sucks the FC is totalled. Hope the driver wasn't seriously injured. Alertness is key.

Looks like everyone should do Rollbar or cage before getting a 5/6 point harness. Unless your car already have a factory rollbar. Gary, you really lucked out.

I'd get a rollbar, but my DB8 is also my DD unfortunately. I need to carry passengers in the backseat once in a while. I really need another car to be my DD.

He had no safety equipment, was using OEM seatbelt and a helmet. He came away pretty beat up, but just scrapes and bruises. Very very lucky.

The guy in front was my friend and he told me that the guy in the fc was driving aggressively for some reason during the cooldown lap. The guy behind the fc was another friend of mine and he spun out because of the dirt that was picked up from the guy in the fc. My blessings to be safe albeit what happened.
