Sounds like our resident stuntman might need to go back to VIR and do a non-accidental record breaker run

That's pretty impressive for the Corvette considering, I'm guessing, it's less than half the price of the Ford.

What if I told you the ZR1 was 1/20th the price of a Chiron. And lapped VIR faster than one too?

Yes, but it looks like a Corvette accidentally drove through a warehouse full of remaining set pieces from the latest star wars movie and some of them got stuck while the Ford GT looks like a rolling piece of automotive art.
Also, if history tells us anything, it won't do 2 laps w/o going into limp mode..

That ZR1 is NOT a production car.

I wonder if Chevy plays the game like Ferrari does ?

The Corvette isn't pretty but I'm willing to allow for less than pretty if it functions well.

I thought Chevy had figured out how to make the SC V8 combo last more than a lap at pace but I could be wrong.

Don't get me wrong, if I had ZR1 money there's a long list of cars I'd buy before I'd buy a ZR1. It just doesn't really interest me but it sure is fast.

I don't know what this means. The ZR1 from the lap wasn't really a production car?

    Not pretty is an understatement.
I find the standard C7 a rather attractive car, especially the back section, the front is a bit boring but not un-attractive.
The ZR1 is the Civic Type-R of the Corvette line.

A lot of people don't like the ACR-E either but they're designed for this exact purpose. Thankfully there are *plenty* of other variants you can choose from depending on your use case.

I love the Ford GT. One of the most beautiful and purposeful cars ever designed and something that will age very nicely also (except the steering wheel).

So while the ZR1 is cheaper, it'll continue to get cheaper as it ages and is replaced where as the Ford starts expensive and will only goes up from there.

I wonder how the cost is for the FordGT non factory race teams and if you were to race them, if that grants you access to buy the road car(s) at MSRP.
