    Default Best vendors

I thought it would be useful to start a running list of preferred vendors. Obviously Iron Canyon Motorsports is at the top of the list , but there may be one or two others that might be useful. Many of these are not THQ sponsors. Please work with those vendors that support THQ if possible. THQ would not exist without these supporting vendors so keep that in mind when shopping.

    I'll start:

BMW/European - BMA Autoparts - BMA Auto Parts - Best prices and great customer service on anything euro car related. Glendale, CA. If you own a BMW, VW, or Audi you must check pricing here.

    BMW/European - ECS Tuning - www.ecstuning.com/ - Internet BMW/Euro. Good line card. Decent pricing.

    Miata - 949 Racing - 949 Racing - Supermiata - Enough said. Don't be stupid.

Miata - Goodwin Racing - Mazda Parts from Good-Win Racing - Mazda Performance Specialists - Great product line up, phenomenal customer service.

Miata - Trackspeed Engineering - http://www.trackspeedengineering.com/ - unique products that actually WORK for the track Miata.

Cage/Fab - Blackbird Fabworks - Blackbird Fabworx RZ ND Miata Roll Bar - truly awesome.

Cage/Fab - TC Design - TC Design - Haven't used yet but really like what I've seen with cages and other fab work. Solid.

Communications - Sampson Racing - Sampson Racing - Radios, helmets, and more. All round great company and great resource for the racer.

The above are kind of my goto peeps but I'd be interested to hear what others have found.

Thank you for posting this, Mark. I'm currently working with my congressional representative to create a national "thank a sponsor day" (kidding). Of course, every day we need parts or services for our racecars is thank a sponsor day (not kidding), so let's expand on it.

The California Wine Club — We deliver handcrafted wines from small family-owned wineries, beautiful selections you will not find in stores. Personal and corporate gifts, monthly memberships.
    www.CaWineClub.com

Weekend-racer.com — Former sponsor, but still run by an all-around good guy John Mueller.

NASA Speed News — I hear it's pretty well edited. :-)

Caliphotography.com — support your local track photographers. It's not easy to get good action shots on track, and these guys do it on spec.

All makes and models - Gran Turismo East, Atlanta, GA - tires, alignment, steering, suspension setup, general. This place has been around for a while and they do it all, from tube frame racecars to your wife's minivan. Great people, very easy to work with, they understand the extra details you want and need to set your car up.

BMW and Miata, all others Performance Chassis, Cary, NC Similar to GTE above, they do it all but are adept at Spec Miata and Spec e30. Very good people, very good work.

Safety equipment, car equipment Discovery Parts, Dawsonville, GA Ron Zappendorf owns this business and runs it with his family. Extremely knowledgeable and passionate about racing, race safety, he takes the time the time to educate his customers. His store is on-site at Atlanta Motorsports Park, and they are also extraordinarily well-stocked with their mobile store/trailer at other tracks like Road Atlanta.

BMW Bimmer Performance Center Bimmer Performance Center, Raleigh, NC Maintenance, tuning, repairs, dyno. Relatively young shop, but extremely capable and knowledgeable. Very honest and forthright, excellent capabilities, service, and pricing.

BMW, Mini, safety Harrison Motorsports, Alpharetta, GA Repair shop and tuning, nice selection of safety equipment on hand, friendly and trustworthy. They use what they sell.

BMW UUC Motorwerks, Alpharetta, GA Performance parts and service. Nicely made parts and good service. Can be a little spendy, but they know setup and service very well.

In addition to the shops that have been listed, I like Wild Pony Motorsports (https://www.wildponymotorsports.com/) in Santa Clarita. They seem to be the Mustang experts in the greater Los Angeles area.

Luky's Hardware in Burbank . surplus aerospace fasteners, plumbing (A.N. fittings) and such things

Old time SoCal racers will remember a place called Joe Factor's He was a huge aerospace surplus store, and Luky was his right hand gal... When Joe Factor shut down Luky took over, downsized and moved the store about half a mile down the road.. great place to kill half a day and budget (good prices but you end up coming home with a few pounds of things you didn't even know you needed)
