Default Any recs for So Cal Scion dealerships?

Anyone has any good/bad reviews/experiences with Scion dealerships in So Cal?

I went to Power Irvine and dealt with a sales associate. Total BS. Kept saying something about "pricing brochure". No time for BS.

Any other scion dealers that are straight to the pt, no-BS?

    Thanks

Try Longo. Always had good experience buying from them.

Sounds like you are a bit farther north than I but I thought I should mention that so far, I have had a good experience at Scion San Diego

IIRC, Matt Andrews had good things to say about the guy who sold him his FR-S.

There's your problem. POWER stores are just awful. The worst/scummiest out there.

Ask for Jeff Chang at Longo. He's a good guy, I used to work with him over there. He's a true enthusiast about his cars. As long as you don't BS him, he won't BS you.

agree with above. Jeff at Longo is a straight forward guy. knows the car, knows his allocation. He has a side business built around the cars as well FRS86.com

Tell him you got his name of trackhq or from Matt Andrews. There aren't any "deals" to be had, but you won't pay for any extras, and won't get the run around. Once my car hit the ground, I was in and out of the dealership in I think 25mins.

Are these cars getting any more available now that they have been on sale for about 6 months?

I called maybe 10 different dealerships and Kearny Mesa Toyota was the only dealership that got me in a test drive a few months ago.

There has been a lot of clitches that need to be worked out on these car. I would wait until Toyota has fix all the big and small problems that have emerged. Some of the issues have been serious enough for some owner to resell the car.

haha!!! I remember this past May when I was racing my FM at Buttonwillow and Matt had his FRS to the track to the track for the first time. I went over to his garage to talk to him about the car. He was complaining that wind was flying through holes in the car (I'm taking a little poetic license with what he actually said), and that the early cars weren't all that well put together (again, poetic license, but I think that captures Matt's comments generally).

    I third Jeff at Longo.

The best Scion stores have a Mazda sign out front.

Funny you would say that. I was disappointed by the Mazda exhibit at the L.A. Auto Show this year, and I don't think they currently make any product I would buy.

I agree. The NC miata I owned was a disappointing sports car. The RX8 is no more and the MazdaSpeed3 is front wheel drive.

Maybe I should have added a smiley face. Mazda doesn't make anything like the BRZ, so if that's what you want, that's what you should get.

They'll probably try to sell you on lojack so call your insurance and see what the comprehensive discount would be ahead of time. When I bought new, the payback was 3 years on it, so I added it and rolled it into the loan. Funny though as I had to talk myself into it and calculate it. The sales guy himself failed at pitching it to me.
