Default 949Racing OGK Drift Demo at MazFest 2009 ACS

Drift demo at ACS for MazFest 2009.

We also gave ton of ride alongs and the NT-01s were holding up just great after laps of aggressive grip driving. And I have to say the OGK on race tires and no powersteering was one of the most difficult cars to drift on.

Thanks 949Racing for having me do the drift demo, great motor, loving the sound of it.

That was so much fun to watch. Have the put some NT555's on it and have you try that in 4th next time.

Damn, its does sound pretty aggro doesn't it? 2.5" with Magnaflow resonator I had Enthuza build custom for me, dumps right behind diff.

Aside from their cost I never understood why people race them.

SC will produce a lot more smoke in drift demo. For time attack, it wont sacrifice too much characteristics of the driving style either.

    OGK is the real deal!

With a bit of upgrades on the drift setup side it will surely be the ultimate "grip and slip" weapon everywhere we go.

I like N/A as much as the next guy but OGK won't be competitive at RTA next week without it. From what I've read, one of the benefits to the Kraftwerks S/C is the ability to install and remove it relatively easily.

I drove the OGK for 1 session yesterday. it was clearly one of the fastest car there, if not the fastest (I was only there for an hour), but that was all from grip. definitely not from power. it was barely faster than stock Miatas on the front straight.

Its definitely the fastest except maybe to the Ariel Atoms if you count that as one of the "cars". The OGK got tons of grip(makes it super hard to drift) and the OS Giken mechanical LSD works great, I could floor it and basically 4 wheel slide the car exiting the turns without scrubing off speed. Great setup!

Pretty badass man That Miata was pretty damn'd fast!

Somewhat on-topic - does anyone have a link to pictures or knows who the pro's were that were taking shots that day?
