First gen RX7 with 13B rotary engine aka GSL-SE. They were only sold during 1984-1985 in the US. I saw a clean one sold on eBay a couple years back for ~$9k.

Why are people including the GNX? That car is an unbelievable POS.

I love the GNX. It was raw, unbridled ferocity in a grandpa package. So what if it didn't handle? At the time it was just about the fastest accelerating car around, and certainly the fastest by far amongst anything a mortal could afford.

I never had the chance to drive the GNX, but I drove a slightly more tame Grand National a few times, and it was amazing for that time, which was mainly filled with emissions-choked cars making like 4 horsepower.

That is a big reason that the few that are left will be big $$$$$$

Lotus has only brought about 5k total cars in since they started bringing the Elise.

    Loads of those are gone....

Fair enough, but look at the thing. You couldn't try to design anything more ugly.

Maybe the US spec one, when I lived in England I saw tons of these, and that was over 10 years ago. The streets must be flooded with them by now.

What about the center driving position Motorsport Elise? I don't think there are too many of those, right? ah, forget it. I forgot about the qualifications. It was not sold in US and probably not street legal.
